Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], July 18 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, during a review meeting with senior officials at the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday, directed that all the roads in the state should be made pothole-free within a month after the monsoon.
CM Dhami instructed that all construction work should be expedited after the monsoon and special attention should be paid to quality along with speed in the work.
He instructed the officials to take special care of the cleanliness of the ghats in view of the upcoming ‘Kanwar’ fair.
The Chief Minister directed that construction work be done in mountainous areas according to the carrying capacity. To improve the parking system at tourist places, vacant spaces should be identified and adequate parking facilities should be provided.
The Chief Minister said that the government guest houses whose condition is not right should be properly maintained. Better facilities should be provided for those staying in the guest house.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to pay special attention to increase GST collection and ensured that there should be no GST theft in the state. If needed, a campaign should be run for this. He further said people involved in business activities should be made aware of GST registration.
The Chief Minister has also given instructions to promote digital payments.
Earlier on Wednesday, CM Dhami gave necessary guidelines to senior officials on waterlogging, cleanliness, and the prevention of diseases like dengue and malaria, according to an official statement from the Chief Minister’s office.
The Chief Minister has directed all the Municipal Commissioners and Executive Officers of the state to visit their respective areas twice a day and conduct on-site inspections for the prevention of diseases like dengue and malaria, including cleanliness during the monsoon. (ANI)
