Hubbali (Karnataka) [India], April 26 (ANI): Union Minister Raksha Khadse on Saturday stated that all parties have extended their support to the government after Pahalgam terror attack.
Khadse was addressing reporters in Hubbali and was asked about Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah’s recent statement on the issue.
Siddaramaiah on Saturday said that he was not in favour of “war” with Pakistan and cited concerns regarding “security lapse” in the deadly terrorist attack, which killed 26 people.
Khadse asserted that no one should engage in politics, and all parties should stand with the government on the issue. She said that whatever decision the government makes, it will be in the interest of the people.
“As far as I know, all parties have extended their support because it is a matter of the country, nobody should do politics on this. All parties should stand by the government on this issue. Whatever decision the government makes, it will be in the interest of people,”Raksha Khadse said.
While speaking to reporters in Mysuru on Saturday, Siddaramaiah advocated for strengthening security in Kashmir to ensure peace.
“There has been a security lapse in this incident. We are not in favour of war. Steps should be taken to tighten security measures in the Kashmir region. The Central government should increase security to ensure peace in Kashmir,” Siddaramaiah told reporters here.
The Karnataka CM stated that his government would take steps to ensure that Pakistani nationals residing in the state are sent back as per the instructions of the Central government.
Steps will be taken to send back Pakistani citizens as per the instructions of the Central government. Information will be obtained about the number of Pakistanis in various cities of the state,” Siddaramaiah said.
Twenty-six tourists were killed on Tuesday afternoon in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam’s Baisaran valley. Among the victims were 25 Indian nationals and one Nepalese citizen. (ANI)
