New Delhi [India], October 11 (ANI): To further boost development in Delhi’s villages, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has now approved 100 projects worth Rs 93 crore on Friday.
A meeting of the Gram Vikas Board was held at the Delhi Secretariat, chaired by Delhi’s Development Minister Gopal Rai. The Delhi Gram Vikas Board approved 100 schemes to ensure development in the capital’s villages.
These include development works related to roads, drains, water bodies, community centers, parks, crematoriums, and playgrounds. The projects will be carried out in Delhi’s rural areas at a cost of Rs 93 crore. During the meeting, officials were instructed to complete the village development projects within the stipulated time frame.
During the meeting, members raised concerns about pending and new proposals. In response, Minister Gopal Rai emphasized that the government had established the Delhi Gram Vikas Board to ensure the development of Delhi’s villages. At the meeting, 100 new projects worth Rs 93 crore were approved for village development.
These projects aim to improve amenities across all villages in Delhi. Additionally, department officials were instructed to process project files related to village development within the stipulated time frame.
The Development Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to providing basic amenities not only to urban residents but also to those living in rural areas of Delhi. He said, “The board has approved the installation of 100 benches in large villages and 20 benches in smaller villages. These development projects, under the Development Department, are being implemented through the Irrigation and Flood Control Department and the MCD.” (ANI)
